Lulu is the founder of Waves Yoga Studio — a beloved sanctuary on Kauaʻi where locals and visitors alike come to sweat, flow, breathe, and be present. Over the years, Waves has been more than just a yoga studio. It’s a space rooted in community and heart, where the ancient wisdom of yoga meets functional movement, and where everyone is truly welcome — no matter their background or experience. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), Waves has always prioritized wellness, accessibility, and impact.
While her in-person experience was thriving, Lulu felt like her brand and website weren’t reflecting the depth, warmth, or magic of what she had built.
For years, she struggled to bring her vision to life in a way that felt cohesive, elevated, and most importantly — true to her. She wanted her online presence to feel like a breath of fresh air: spacious, calming, grounded, inviting, and a reset for the nervous system. Something that felt like home. Her existing brand and website weren’t communicating that. It felt disjointed and underwhelming, and she didn’t feel proud or aligned with how her studio was showing up online.
My goal was to take Lulu’s essence — the soul of her studio — and translate it into a brand and website that felt just as grounding and expansive as stepping into one of her classes.
Together, we created a cohesive brand identity and custom website that feels zen, restorative, and aligned with the heart of her mission. I paid special attention to the subtle, intentional details that help the spirit of Waves come alive in quiet but meaningful ways throughout the site. Like integrating her signature mantra: peace in your heart, peace in the world. These seemingly small choices were everything — honoring her values, her voice, and conveying the feeling she wanted every visitor to leave with.
I also designed a full set of branded class graphics, each one reflecting the energy and intention behind her offerings, from hot yoga and sculpt to yin and meditation — giving her students a beautiful and intuitive way to connect with everything Waves offers.
Now, Waves Yoga has a digital presence that matches its powerful in-person experience. One that fully reflects what Lulu has created: a sacred sanctuary where community can come to breathe, grow, and belong. Just like Lulu's beautiful and unique spirit, her brand and website now stand a part and leave a lasting impression.
